KodyGas opened in 2015 and has worked from the same base on Wickersley Road in Rotherham ever since. In that time the coverage has grown to 43 areas across Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster and Barnsley, but the way the work is done has not changed: the same team answers the phone and turns up at the door.
We diagnose before we quote. That sounds obvious, but it is the difference between being told your boiler needs replacing and being told which component has failed and what it costs to put right. Plenty of faults that look terminal turn out to be a frozen condensate pipe, a failed expansion vessel, or a system that has never had its inhibitor checked.
When a repair genuinely is not worth doing, we say so and explain why rather than quietly steering you toward a new appliance. When it is worth doing, we do it. Either way you get the price before work starts.
We work on combi, system and conventional boilers from the main domestic brands, including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal Heating, Viessmann and Glow-worm. We are Gas Safe registered rather than a manufacturer-approved installer, so the advice you get is not tied to selling one brand over another.

Gas Safe Register is the legal register for anyone working on gas in the UK, and it replaced CORGI in 2009. KodyGas has held registration 625280 across 11 years of trading. Ask any engineer, ours included, for their ID card and check the number before work starts. The back of the card lists which categories they are actually qualified for.
Installations meet Building Regulations Part L and are notified so you receive a compliance certificate. Systems are cleaned and inhibited to BS 7593, flue positions follow BS 5440 and the manufacturer's clearances, and commissioning is recorded in the Benchmark checklist that keeps your guarantee valid. If you smell gas, ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 before you ring us; they attend free and make the situation safe.

Common questions
Gas Safe Register is the official list of engineers legally permitted to work on gas in the UK. It replaced CORGI in 2009. Every registered engineer carries an ID card showing their registration number and, on the back, the specific categories of work they are qualified for, since gas, unvented hot water and commercial gas are separate qualifications. Our registration is 625280. You can check it on the register before we start, and we would rather you did.

We tell you the timescale up front rather than leaving you waiting for a call. Common parts for the domestic brands we see most are carried on the van, so a good share of repairs finish on the first visit. Where something has to come in, we book the return visit rather than leaving it open-ended.
